Story time and Reading

Story time and reading are necessities in our center. Story time is built into the curriculum for half hour on a daily basis. Independent reading and "reading" through pictures are also encouraged.

EXAMPLE: We read classic children's books like "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein and "Madeline" by Ludwig Bemelmans, and slightly more recent classics like Chica Chica Boom Boom" by Bill Martin, Jr. and "Oh the Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss.

STEAM Activities

Group STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art & math) activities are included in our curriculum for 1 hour daily.
EXAMPLES: Children build different types of "homes" for their toy animals with paper towel tubes and paper plates. Children explore their natural environment using magnifying glasses to identify different types of insects. Children also have time to explore individually.

INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT: Children engage in problem solving and develop thinking skills, focus and attention through curiosity, exploration and manipulation of their environment.

TESTIMONIALS

Satisfied Parents

"You would know the quality or rating of a service or institution by knowing or observing the character, skills, wisdom, and even personality of its leadership. Dr. Elizabeth Vaughan (The Owner/Director of Bloom Christian Childcare) is a five-star leader, manager, educator, motivator and mentor. Her leadership in education, and childcare is child/student centered. Her ability to partner with parents in making sure children prosper and excel is unmatched. As a Principal of my children's former school, she created a great learning environment at which students were nurtured and encouraged to use their God given talents to explore and learn. My eldest child benefited from Dr. Vaughan's almost daily mentor-ship, encouragement, and guidance as she led the school student government as the president. My other two children and the whole student body felt and knew the leadership cared for them. They were taught and inspired to care for each other too. I strongly recommend Bloom Christian Childcare LLC."

"Having a child who attended a school where the founder of BLOOM Christian Childcare, was a principal, I know her to have a strong work ethic that focuses on establishing environments for children to thrive. She is dedicated to having them "bloom" in nurturing Christian environments. Lastly she has many years of experience in the education industry and is very qualified based on her education background."
Melissa E. Brooks

"Dr. Elizabeth Vaughan is one of the most caring and conscientious persons I know. She has a great life for children and her own children demonstrate this fact in abundance. My son was in a school where served as principal and she always showed great care for the kids. I believe she would do the same at Bloom!"
